How do I get involved?

We’re glad you asked.

Adult Leaders

We are a volunteer-based organization meaning our mission doesn’t happen without you. With 2 counties (Johnston and Wake) and over 200,000 students to reach with the hope of Christ, our Adult Leaders are our champions!

First Priority is a student-led and student-initiated organization, however, we welcome volunteers to support those student leaders.

  • Adult Leader

There are three Adult Leader Roles that we need to support each club and Student Leader Team. Fill out the form below if you are interested in serving as an Adult Leader!

PRAY

Our county, schools, administrators, staff, students, and parents need our prayers now more than ever before. We believe in the power of prayer and in a praying community. It is our goal to have every campus adopted in prayer.

  • Adopt a Johnston County School in Prayer

Prayer Partners commit to covering certain schools and areas in prayer. They receive updates for prayer requests and celebrations for clubs weekly. If you are interested in serving on our Prayer Team for Johnston County, please click the button below to contact our Prayer Coordinator.

  • Adopt a Wake County School in Prayer

Prayer Partners commit to covering certain schools and areas in prayer. They receive updates for prayer requests and celebrations for clubs weekly. If you are interested in serving on our Prayer Team for Wake County, please click the button below to contact our Prayer Coordinator.

ALL leaders and volunteers except teacher sponsors are required to submit a background check and JCPS Volunteer form every year for Level 2 Clearance - this will you put you on the school’s list for adults who are allowed on campus. This includes guest speakers or visitors! Fill out the JCPS Volunteer Form by clicking the button below!

First Priority campus groups/clubs are student-led as mandated by federal and local guidelines, and First Priority of Johnston County and Wake County are committed to following these guidelines. However, under certain conditions, adults may provide training and support to ensure that the groups are healthy and sustainable. If you are a youth leader, youth pastor, or parent who would like to find out more about supporting a campus group/club, please contact us.

All volunteers interacting with First Priority students must submit to an in person interview, annual training, and pass an annual background check. No volunteer may attend a campus group meeting without being cleared first by the school district and by First Priority Staff Member. All volunteers are closely supervised and held to the highest Biblical standard.
